Really looking forward to tonight’s shenanigans at Distrikt in Leeds, where we get the opportunity to appear on the same bill as one of our all time favourite producers, The Revenge (aka Graeme Clark). Graeme was at the forefront when the whole nu disco/re-edit revolution kicked off around 2008, and his masterful reworks of Hot Chocolate’s Cadillac and Stevie Wonders Love Light in Flight were the soundtrack to many an afterparty as we worked our way through University. We loved his first album on Z Records that was packed full of his edits, and I still use one of his early tracks Reaction Time as one of my secret weapons even now, as it seemed to slip out under the radar and someone always asks me what it is when I play it. These days he’s gravitated towards more of a house tip, and we’re still huge fans of almost everything he puts his hand to.
Entry again at Distrikt is FREE, I honestly can’t think of anywhere else in the UK that puts on the kind of line ups they do and never charge a penny. Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Hot Toddy, Tom Trago, Crazy P, Horse Meat Disco and many more over the last twelve months…
Set times are below, we’re on straight after The Revenge.
8 – 10: Haydn Porter
10 – 11: Al Bradley & Phil Towers
11 – 1: The Revenge
1- Close: Sebastian Budniak & Adam Daniels (Kill The Disco)
